Talya earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Washington University and currently specializes in treating orthopedic injuries and pelvic floor conditions for all genders.
Talya has a unique understanding of movement from her first career as a professional ballet dancer. In her dance training and professional career, Talya spent hundreds of hours in the PT clinic rehabilitating from various injuries. Physical therapy always gave Talya a sense of relief not only from pain but from the ability to manage her own injuries through exercise and knowledge of anatomy and tissue healing. Talya aims to share that same power with the athletes she treats, whether you are a student, professional, or busy parent with a desk job.
In addition to working as a physical therapist, Talya coaches group fitness classes at Equinox Anthem Row including Pilates mat, barre, and strength training. She loves lifting heavy weights in the gym, hanging out with her two dogs, and biking around DC.
